Double strike in crop marks/thin lines

Has anyone come across a "double strike" in crop marks and thin lines on the 64s?

We are trying to run a job with crop marks on it but the crop mark seems to be made of two verticle lines.

The horizontals are perfect so I suspect the feed is ok, there is no banding and this fault is intermitent on various jobs.

I think it may have something to do with the EPS file through Ilustrator but just wondered if anyone else is seeing it.

have you tried re-doing the system calibrations i-pos(l) & i-pos(r)?

cause of that could be filth on sliders (skid-pipe)...

software (firmware) or electronic bug...

but i would stick to calibration problem...

Thanks guys, the problem disappeared and I didn't want to go mucking around and bring it back if there was no longer a problem. We'll keep an eye on the calibration monthly.

you don't have to check calibration on monthly bases...

rather check railways (were head carriage's small wheels are driving), clean it and spread thin layer of silicon "liquid" on them...

also check for filth on sliders (skid-pipe)...

We have the same problem (more often than not). But as it only seems to happen on trim marks outside the image area I don't worry about it. What actually causes it I do not know, and neither do any of the so called experts. It doesn't seem to be an alignment problem, as the line up tests and the actual image area print as normal.
