difficult one this as if you're using the media cover on the front of the printer, then most of the odour comes off the media coming out. the rear dryer does help if attached to extra extraction, but low level suction fans seem to work the best. nothing beats a well vented room or a high grade extraction unit with carbon filters, but these can be a bit expensive.
you can manufacture the ducting and covers yourself at half the price and that will ensure they fit as your essentially designing bespoke equipment.
sorry i can't recommend a single item, just make the best of air flow and adequate ventilation i.e. replenishing the air that the solvent is restricting.
My dad told me that the fumes actually are heavier than air (i still don't know how true that is) so we do have a ventilation system that takes in air directly from above the machine (where the hot air from the heater goes up) and then another from the bottom. Works fine. We run two in a room of approx 270 sqft and it's perfectly alright. We use two fans and a system of flexible pipes hanging from the ceiling, so that we can rearrange the room or move the machines if we like to. If you want to you can create additional borders by hanging some transparent curtains (so that you see what is being printed, but you only have to get inside the curtained area to change the media.
this is true because the components in the vapour make it heavier than oxygen. this means that it's basically sufficating the room from the ground up, and when you realise this it's too late. hence the best place to place an extractor fan is directly on the floor and run it straight outside.
i've got an island air duster 2000. it's pretty good, but i still need to leave my posters in the printer room for a while--banners i hang overnight--to fumigate, with the air cleaner running. people around the shop are nauseated by the solvent stink if i carry a fresh print into the studio. ***P***U***
....sounds funny, but yesterday i needed to stand by the printer to watch out for wrinkling, so i actually tied a bandana around my face and tucked the bottom into my collar. it totally filtered the air i was breathing and the fumes didn't bother me.
We just eventually added another wall (a very cheap one by the way, its about to fall on me.) and we cut out 2 holes to the shop and got 2 exhaust fans to suck out all the fumes. It works great.
