I'm currently running Wasatch as my rip with my colorpainter 64 and getting an error that says: "Available SCSI controller not found" I'm not sure if its a software issue or a SCSI card issue. Anybody run into a problem like this? Any help would be deeply appreciated.
windows sometimes recognize "some kind" of device on scsi (plug'n'play) and take control of it by installing default drivers for generic printer and in that way prevent other (rip programs) programs to use this device - in this case your printer...
so you have to go to device manager and find and disable it...
you can find this device manager in this way:
right click on my computer icon, properties - than you'll get directly to "system" - go to tab "hardware" - there you will find "device manager": when you get here find 123something section and enter it - there you will find generic printer and disable it...
If you are using the Adaptec 29160 that is the correct one, be carefull you shouldent use the N (for network) version.
Be sure to install the latest drivers and ASPI driver for windows, you can find everything on the Adaptec websight. Without the ASPI driver you will not connect to the CP.
