There seem to be an air leak in the magenta because when I print using a lot of magenta it will start to reduce the ink, just magenta, others ok (apart from some missing nozzles) . This happens after around 80cm printing x 137cm . and gradually gets worst. I did not notice this as I always thought the heads get dirty, because after a normal clean it will get back to normal. But the clean just help ink to fill up head again and thats why ink starts firing again.
Also to mention If I pause the printer when its printing bad, and on again just after few seconds it starts printing ok for a few cm then again banding (just magenta) I revew some comments from the site and from what I found out is that from the capping down all works ok, no leakeages there. Something have to do from the pipe lines from the heads up. .....My seiko rep came and flushed the head but still. He contacted seiko and told me its a head problem. COULD THIS BE IT! ITS JUST 6MONTHS OLD.Can anyone suggest me what may be the fault?
When I do a nozzle check it shows that something to do with half of the head, and to verify this is that if i leave it on going printing with this banding just half of head will fire. (nozzle check attached)
which style of head to you have? if it's the first generation you'll have a rigid pipe running up the back of the head. this rigid tube caused the small rubber o-ring at the bottom to wear and then leak air. try changin gthe o-ring or maybe even cleaning it with the wiper fluid. if it's the 2nd generation, you'll have a flexible piece of piping. these are normally pretty good, so if you've got this one, check the caps, seals and then the pipes back from the head. sounds like an air leak from somewhere.
