backlit graphics

I am very exited about this printer, although never having owned a solvent printer before this looks like the one to buy, one question to you peolple that have one though, if you print on transluscent white vinyl and apply to either white or clear acrylic, will the print light properly, currently we sub out our printing and have to double up on the prints to make it look right.

Thanks in advance

Hi Dave,

at the seiko is an printor Option called "High Density".

With that option you can print perfect backlights.

What media are you using for backlits?
We have been using a chromafilm but sihl has come out with a product that does great blacks for backlits but it is a window media that we laminate.

We have tried the Magicinkjet (rexham) products but the profiles supplied didn't realy provide enough opacity for bascklits.

Everything else seems to work great with just a little tweaking for that added pop

Has anyone found a clear film (non-adhesive) that works well on the 64S?

I need something that prints sharp and has a dense black.

Thanks in advance!

Sihl has a good backlit but with adhesive however when we laminate it the adhesive seems to disperse. Sihl is developing the same type medis without adhesive and i am told it should be out by mid May.
