Error Message"Could not communicate with Printer"

I'm Getting a Wasatch 5.1 error message saying "could not communicate with printer"

it is cancelling my Prints. I've re-installed Wasatch, and this still happens.

What could this be a symptom of? is it Printer related, or software related, or hardware related?

thanks in Advance.

we are one version shy of the Current wasatch. as for the Scsi card driver.. I'm not sure.. We just got the Printer and the tech installed it. and the prints are relatively short. usally I'll get this arror about 6' into the print.

Hi Heffe,
Did u install latest aspi for Windows? Also, try to slow down the interface speed from controller's BIOS. Your controller is Adaptec 29160 I think.

Heffe,

All of your drivers are up to date. I'm still convinced that the use of the 33foot SCSI cable is the issue. If you can get a 15 foot one locally (the one that comes with the unit, this may stop this error. If you need one let me knoe.

Exactly the thing - the cable must be safe, must be short and should be fixed so that no one touches it or steps on it.
