Hey I dont know if anyones left here, but I am getting mad at my seiko. I was printing fine and it said change black ink, well when I pulled it out it wasnt empty, but I put a new one in anyway, but it still keeps telling me to put change the black ink....
Had the same problem years ago while still in warranty. Seiko had me change out all inks one at a time till it ok'ed Black. Had somethinthing to do with yellow chip that time.
Again my ink turned solid in the tubes. Apparantly I am the only one this happens to. I swapped out the bad tubes and got new, again, cartridges and it works for the moment.
I found this problem on my oce cs6060 struggled for days, eventually, found the subtank wasnt filling, so the printer automatically locks the chip, solving this requires you to reset all cartridges to 100%, then go into service menu,- actuator,- switch faulty colour (in this case, black) pump to normal. check if black subtank is filling, if not, check the needle for blockages, check pipe lines between cartridge and subtank for leaks.
I really appreciate God for bringing me here , my print house has been shot for weeks because of this problem . I will immediately go and put this to action . Thank you folks for sharing your experience on sign freak.
Hi there , my printer is asking me to change Magenta cartridge , I have inserted six new magenta cartridges and the problem is same . I have tried the suggestions above and this problem is persisting . can someone assist before I run out of business ?
do you have access to a chip resetter?, Magenta is not the first colour this has happened to? are you buying original oem ink casings? do you get your chips separate from your cartridges?
If the sub-tank is filled, the problem is probably with your chips. there are at least 10 possible reasons...
When you insert a cartridge, your printer starts going through a cycle of 10 errors it checks for, it reads from left to right. when your attempt to load a cartridge returns a error message it should display a error code. normally 3 or 7 or 9, in my experience.
Hi Newbie , Am dieing for a help . Am using bulk ink system , I have expended over 30 codes and about 15 new chips , yet no solution . I abadond my Oce 6060 and went to start my Oce 6100 that I never used since it was bought because it was ment for another print shop , thinking it was the Oce 6060 printer that has a problem . To my supprise , the Oce6100 requested for the same Margenta ink cartridge to be changed . I have contacted the seller of the bulk ink system and he has been good enough to send 10 new codes , yet the two printers rejected them all and insisting that the margenta cartridge be change , my email address is clockworkng@yahoo.com , kindly let me have your email so that I can reach you faster , I believe you can help me . Thanks for your contribution . Abdul.
Hi Abdul, sorry for replying so late, I know how it is, hope you gained some insight, since my last post.
My email address is izak@eight8.co.za/zak_nie247@hotmail.co.za latter email, is after hours.
I am confused to hear you are using a bulk ink system, seeing as how you would not need cartridges in that case. I was on bulk ink bottles were attached to both ends and refilling was a matter of screwing in a new bottle, no chips no cartridges. is your parrastaltic sensors taped up, this would prevent your machine from asking for a new cartridge, seeing as how it would seem constantly full.
