Seiko 64 Colorpainter-switching to Sam Ink

I have been using only Seiko inks in my colorpainter and my boss came back from the Orlando show with a case of Sam Ink cartridges.

Warranty is long gone on my printer (2004 model) so I guess I will be using Sam Ink for a while ($150 a cartridge).

I can't find any reviews of this ink and just want to be sure I am not making a huge mistake by using them.

Do I need to flush my lines before installing these or, as they claim, are these inks compatible enough to just load and keep on keeping on?

What are the risks with this ink?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I started using inks from NAzdar (11/10, then 20/20, all resold by other companies who get it from Nazdar) after my magenta head gave me problems on oem ink (around Christmas) . There were several other 64s owner around that time having trouble with oem ink, specifically magenta. By the time I got through a little more than half the 3rd party magenta cartridge, the machine started to print perfectly again. No costly repair. Never an admission from Seiko that they had some bad ink either. Been using Nazdar inks for 30 years as a screenprinter, great company, great products. Carts were plug and play into existing ink system.

Hey Will- we have been using Sam-ink in our HP9000 and Sieko 64 (pretty much the same printer) for over two years now. The switch was seamless and has continued to be high quality. If you have any other questions feel free to email me.
