this will probably be the small microswitch that controls the wiper blade assembly. i put money on this being covered in wiper fluid and the outer casing has melted. just take the casing off and relocate the switch. easy

using a flat head screwdriver, remove the 'spit cup' next to the wiping area and you will see the switch.

very true. it's held on with one small screw so be careful when removing. it's a bit on the fiddly side but with time it's easy enough.


you may have to disconnect the attached cable to remove it completely. easiest way to to remove the end covers first to give you access.
