went with a friend to 508 lake superior, her house had 8" of water that has drained but is ok. we checked on 502 lake superior for someone who emailed this site who asked for info; it is also fine. tree down on ford truck at 510 lake superior. several people w/ generators in neighborhood, which is good. would not go back to stay, but ok to get in and get possesions.
That house at 502 Lake Superior Drive was my in-law's house. Some of us went there from Houston 3 days ago and checked it out. We did see some trees down in the backyard, and tree limbs on the roof. No major damage, and maybe 2" of water got inside the house. Very minimal damage compared to what others have sustained. We're blessed to have homes to go back to when it is safe.
