I have had one on my floor for 3 1/2 months. I have not been able to get it working. We have replaced check valves 4 times, thermisters a couple of times, the circuit board on the head once. Static is a tremendous problem, butminimized with an ionic static elimnator. After nine or ten trips by the technicians, we had communications problems with the video net card. We also have had problems with Onyx input.ini files being deleted within windows.
Also, the 1/2" maximum head height is exactly that. Common substrates such as 1/2" foam boards, MDO, and others mic out more like 0.520". Too thick for this machine.
Colorspan has sent techs out to work on the machine pretty quickly. But ever time we try to actually run a job on it. we run into another problem. I'm ready to send the machine back.
i ran some tests on it last thursday, actually the UVR in the Oce 7070 version. it seemed nice, but i totally hate the touchscreen. I think it blows. All in all on foamex (we have different names here, i mean the paper/foam/paper material) the results were outstanding, same on matt vinyl - it really does seem to have quite flexible ink. Too bad it can have such problems...
