Ink dripping

Vutek QS2000.

Could it be a damper problem if there is a ink spots all over the print?

Does Plexiglass create printing problem because it creates more heat under the printhead than other material,

and making the jet pack to hot and thus dripping ink?

I´m taking about 2x3m image, lot of them.

Any idea

Bad dampers can definitely cause ink to drip from the heads. Which colors are dripping? First zero out your nanometer. Just disconnect the line going in the back of it and press up and down simultaneously until it zeros out. Reconnect the line. Ours is set to -.54 but I think normal is around -.60. Now run a quick purge and inspect the heads. They should be clean after the purge. Check it again after 20 minutes or so and see if the heads are dripping. We recently had this same issue with our qs2000. In our case the heads would not drip unless the machine was actually printing. We replaced the dampers and it completely solved the problem. Signs-in-china has these dampers for like $35 a piece. We are using them right now. I'd recommend replacing all of them.

I had this problem with magenta head when I was printing on plexyglass 2m wide.
The magenta head is closest to the lamps on the lefts side.
Just was wandering if the UV lights are curing ink close to the nozzles???
I changed the dampers and have not printed on so wide plexyglass since but not leaking jet.

I would not think so. It was probably more so related to your ink usage within a certain amount of time. For instance, when we had this problem the head would drip after a certain amount of ink was used. Sometimes it would be on every sheet while other times it would be every 3-4 sheets depending on the composition of the ink in the file. Did the file you were printing on the plexiglass have a lot of magenta in it? Try printing the same file on some scrap material. Changing the dampers probably solved your problem. If you are printing on plexi and have the same issue try going to the jet monitor on the firmware and check the temperature of your magenta heads. If the lamps are heating up the ink and thus lowering the viscosity the head itself should be hotter too.
