Hi All, does anyone have a densitometer for profiling? What do you use? What would you suggest. I need to get onto this but I don't know where to start or what to look for in a densitometer. Any help appreciated. __________________

What you are looking for is a Spectrophotometer. I use the DTP41from XRite. Make sure you get one that reads the strips automatically as this will cut your time down dramatically when making profiles. __________________

Does the DTP41 read strips automatically? I thought it was the DTP70 that did that. __________________

yes dtp41 reads automatically...

but have problem with patches with "biger raster".

i'm not sure if you undrestand this but here is example: tried to make profile for bluebak paper for billboards using diferent rasters, "biger dots" and x-rite couldn't read this patches...

eye one should be better in this situations...

but it doesn't read automatically...
