How to print with just black ink

Is there a way to print with just black ink? I am printing a gradient and it uses all the colors and it turns out looking like crap.

Anything I can do?

There should be an option to print grayscale. How you do this depends on which RIP you are using, look it up in the online help. The only problem with grayscale is that you get a noticeable dot pattern with only one head printing. Your best option is to adjust the file. Good luck.

I am using Wasatch and my tech support has expired so they wont help me. I looked at the help but I could find no mention of printing with black only.

Does anyone know how to do this in Wasatch if it can be done???

In the last tab in Pre-Flight, Print, there is a button labeled Print Setup. The last tab in this dialog box is Output. There will be a setting for Grayscale there.
