seiko 64s magenta stops after 4-5feet

We have a Seiko 64s which has been a good old workhorse but now after 4-5 feet the magenta ink seems to reduce and banding starts. purples go blue, reds become orange etc. I know the magenta head is getting old but I don't think thats our problem. Thinking of fixing the problem with a 25500

Has anyone figured out how to fool the machine with a small piece of paper loaded without the feed sensor objecting to a lack of material? Can you setup the machine to accept a short piece without threading the machine?

Have replaced dampers and o-rings, can get running with ink fill for a week or so than have to prime again. Only on 1 head. What to replace next? Have done dampers in past for maintenance and always fixed issues.

I have a problem on a Seiko 64s. the head does not cap when I shut down. Also when I send to do clean, the head does not cap, and the pumps at the front of heads does work. Can it be an adjustment on the control panel. The heads are good. Bonney
