Yup- I use it all the time for the outdoor backlit signs that we make.  I still prefer to use cut vinyl when possible because it offers more color consistancy from day to night, but the 3850 printed with the seiko's high density mode does the best job of the backlit print vinyls.

Since all of Avery's problems we switched to Oracal across the board (except for wraps- we use 3M).  I've been happier with the Oracal than I ever was with avery.

Cool Thanks! I usually use 3M Scotchcal Film for my outdoor backlit signage, but it is super expensive.
I will give this stuff a try.

yes Avery transclucent vinyl is crap. It was like trying to print on a mountain range after the media got warm. Unfortunately our sign supplyers around here only sell 3M and Avery. I will have to get from the internet.

Thanks

Metamark MT600 Translucent Adhesive Back Vinyl 54" x 164'
It is only like 400 dollars a roll. Worth a shot.

Everything has been pretty good so far. I like this better than the 3M stuff and at half the price. It is WAY easier to apply.

nu-flex.com and no I don't work there I just buy from them 'cause they are cool.
