Hi! I noticed that color aligment is not so good animore. has anyone ever tried to calibrate heads (align heads) by themselves? Ours were done by serviceman at the instalation. i would like to know the procedure.
the head alignements are normally performed using a special jig. i have tried with and without and personally i find it easier doing it by hand.
you need to gain access to the heads by taking the carriage cover off, and then you will see the two gold-coloured screws that allow the head move back and forth and the second side to side. there is another scrfew which clmaps the head down when finished.
it is a bit of a lengthy process as you have to align them all to the black, so after each movement you'll need to perform the alignement print (head adj2) to see if you're in line with the others.
once this is all ok, you'll need to redo the head adj1 pattern to check the bi-di calibration.
I guess I haven't been to clear. i think mechanical positions of heads are ok. What I would like to do (but never done it before) is adjustment from printer (head adj).
then just run head adj 2 print pattern and align the lines by the numbers printed. you're looking for when all three lines come together as one, and the number is the value you should enter.
Dear Sir, Could you please help me and send me Service manual for Seiko 64S. Thank you in advance . Best regards Krasimir Georgiev email:foliart@netplusdb.bg
You do not need the service manual for alignment issues unless you have changed or removed the heads.
Every catergory of media, ie Banner, Vinyl should have its own calibrations to get optimum print, run test print 4 all colours to check your alignment calibrations.
You will find this in service mode and this we all know. :)
