Magenta Modeling in Blue Prints

I'm Having Problems Printing solid Blue prints without getting a moddled magenta haze to the rest of the blue color. Is this a heat setting issue? Or is this a Media Problem?

I guess the problem can be also described asa faint magenta camoflage patten in the solid blue color.

Only seems to be happening on that color.

Thanks in Advance

I do not own a Seiko printer (potential buyer), but I have a JV3 that is doing the same thing.  I also get it in other colors as well.  I've been told that it is a static electricity issue.  This makes sense for us, because in the last week it has become extremely cold here (low humidity, etc).  Some materials are more susceptible, such as 3M ControlTac, but I get it on several brands of vinyl.  Matte vinyls seem to get it less.  My advice is to get a humidfier if the air is dry there.

what rip are you using. Yes, it can make a difference. I see it more in amiable software.

Had it almost dissapear using onyx... but i don't like onyx. I get the same thing when printing large areas of solid blue (dark) it almost looks like magenta banding in the middle of blue lines.

I am just wondering if the rip could be causing it. Also is it vector art or a large tiff file?

Actually that is Color Banding and is sometimes attributed to the bi-direction print function. Because the Printheads lay down ink differently from left to right then right to left. 8-pass and making sure to do a normal to strong cleaning before printing should rid theis problem you are having.

Make sure you run your printer at 720dpi or above and you will reduce any strange effects, remember these printers are optimized for 720dpi 4pass.
