Thank you very much for the information you passed along to me regarding the testing. Your feedback will be utilized. I wanted to check with you to find whether you've had a chance to do any more testing. If so, what are your thoughts? What have you noticed (good and bad). Does there appear to be any problems or bugs with the software?
Look out for Onyx 7.........Production House is a nice piece of software also Postershop. You can't go wrong with Onyx Rip Products. They are definately the best out there. Trust me I sell them for a living and customers are very happy.
You are correct about one thing and that is "look out for Onyx 7". I have Onyx 7 and it is full of bugs the worst one is that the 6 color stripe prints in the wrong place. I contacted Onyx and they say they are working on the problem. Everyone I talk to says they went back to Onyx 6.5. I like 7 just hope they fix it. 9000s
I don't know where to begin the list of problems I have had with productionhouse 7. They are currently telling me they will have the problems worked out in September. I have lost countless jobs, weeks of time, and countless rolls of material trying to get it to work correctly. I have found a few workarounds on my own, but at what expense? Just in bills a month it is costing me $20,000 while I have tech support telling me I'm just not doing it right and I should come to Utah and take classes. I pondered the expenses and tell them to fly someone to me and make it work. Then I get the phone call telling me I have a known problem and they are working on it. I own an oce 6060, an Arizona 180 before that. Onyx was my only choice on the 180. So I upgraded my software when I decommisioned the Arizona. Ever since I have had green casts to my prints and my Graphtec 7000 doesn't plot over 45 inches. This is a bit inconvienent when you do vehicle graphics for a living. This is the short short version of this story, maybe I will post some more of it when I have time. Dammit should have bought the Roland. If anyone is intrested in a class action suit drop me an email at ejgemstone@gmail.com
P.S. I would love to start a thread for finding people who Oce' has put out of business. I am close and I had deep pockets at the start of my adventure.
P.S.S. The auto rotate feature doesn't work either. They lied again, Oh if your looking for a good laugh you should buy the profiling training videos.
Version 7.0 is definitely the worst version of Postershop ever published. Lot of bugs, most answers are "we are working on the problem...", still not answered after many months. I am experincing problems with PDF ripping, cut contour printing, colors printing not as good as in older version (6.5) and some other minor problems. Hope it will be resolved.
