Anyone that knows how to adjust the ink end warning from 10% left into let say 2% left? The RIP (Wasatch) gets a message from the printer saying ink is low. There is 10% left in the cartridge. I still have to change it because the RIP wonīt allow further printing. I would like to print until there is 1 or 2 % left in the cartridge. Otherwise it will be to costly.....
Yes, my RIP stops me from further printing once the message from the the printer has registered. Even if there is a possibility to click that you want to continue - the message return within seconds and stops the printer. So you have to keep on clicking every five seconds if you want to continue. Itīs not a solution. It must be a possibility to overrun that function..... By the way - donīt want to be anonymous. Didnīt get the mail that confirmed my registration... I call myself " Caytommie" Hope to get it soon
ouch, this could work out very expensive. i would hit your rip vendor very hard with the seiko cartridges you take out, and with 10% still in them, it should hurt enough for him to do something constructive.
if this doesn't work, and you're serious enough to want to run the seiko to it's true potential, go get another rip.
Of course I have to confront my rip vendor on this. Just thought maybe there was someone out there that have had the same experience and that there were a simple solution. Like making some changes in configuration. Otherwise this rip works great - really high quality on prints! And it drives Mimaki and HP printers as well with no problems ..... at the same time....
there's no way that your rip decides if there's enough ink in printer..
it might be problem in seiko. maybe it's calibrated wrong. are you sure that there is 1dl of ink in cartridge left...
no matter what figure printer gives you about remains of ink, he is stopping to print when he can't fill second tank. how it knows that it's not filling tank? there are two mechanical switches on that tank. first one, when tank is almost empty, fires pump. ink is filling tank. and than filled tank push second switch who automatically stops pumps. there is time interval in witch tank is supposed to be filled. if that time passes then you get that message about changing cartridge...
this part (ink filling) is absolutely mechanical, so I'm presuming that figure about remains of ink is wrong...
it's a question i also tried to put to my seiko rep. the count seems pretty accurate as i've done some calculations. what i do not understand is why the cartridge happily sits on 2% of an age. what's that all about. answers please..
