Comm Error on Carriage Drive - Vutek QS3220

I have a Vutek QS3220, and right now i'm in the middle of such a big problem!

It started 3 hours ago, when my printer have shown me the error "Comm Error on Carriage Drive", after that ""Comm Error on Media Drive" and "Left Limit Switch Failed".

Righ now it's impossible to move the print head; after many attempts, turning off and restarting the printer, i was able to move the print head from home position to the right position. I made also a "jet test" and it was succesful; after that i've tried to print again, but that was the last time i've seen the print head moving. Now it is in the right position, and it is impossible to move it back to home position. Every time I try to restart the printer the sequence of errors is always the same... "Comm Error on Carriage Drive", "Comm Error on Media Drive" and "Left Limit Switch Failed".

Please, can anyone help me???

You have the answer right infront of you. LEFT LIMIT SWITCH: its either failed or is stuck in the trigger position Jamed to the left. Printer needs to zero on this switch on stat up then move to the right and Home ( offset ) otherwise it has no idea where to start. Look along the carriage rail on the left side when you face the machine.. When printer off. move the little arm and roller back and forth and here the click.

Hello, Alby,

What was your resolution to this problem???  We have been having the exact same problem, and it has been going on for a month.  Please respond before I go crazy over this.

Thanks,
