When do you get this error? When you power on the machine does the carriage move left and then back to home properly or is this when you get the error? I operate a 3360 and it seems like I've gotten a carriage index error before from the carriage not initializing properly. I may be mistaken as to the type of error in my case. It seems like it was a dirty encoder strip to the left of the carriage which prevented the printer from starting up correctly. Besides the error can you describe the problem a little more?
