Our printer used to stop somwhere during print (the rip looked like the print went trough OK - no pause nor error). After we upgraded to latest firmware there were no such misbehaviours until recently. Any idea why and how to prevent this? Thanks in advance!

what do you "stop"?


the printer cleans after a set amount of printing has been done. not sure the firmware has changed anything significant. this should be the only time the heads pauses mid-print unless the data communication has failed somewhere.

the printing process itself stops - printer is online (although it stoped somwhere on the line) and rip is like the print is finished and all is OK.

then you've lost communication between the rip and printer. only ever seen this happen on the onyx rip and the cause was the aspi driver.

I will upgrade the driver and see if that helps.

I'm still having problems with print stopping. Onyx says Print Data Error... PritnAborted


Waisting time and material and not sure what to do anymore. :(

what do onyx say, as the code must mean something to them? they must have seen it before.

Onyx support sent me 6.5 version and everything works normal now.
