probably, as the chip is the only thing that tells the printer what it is. why woudl you want to though? the hp ink is more expensive with no real colour or life difference?
Although the HP9000 is totally same as Seiko Color-Painter, the chips are different because of the different region and data. You can not use a chip of HP9000 to 64S/100S, vice versa. You also couldn't use the chip from Asia to HP9000 or 64S/100S in America or Europe.
Please check the picture of our chip. The apperance of these two kinds of chip is same.
Hi, Don, my information is not hare-brained. We have do the research of ink and chip for Seiko64S/100S, HP9000,OCE 6060 for a long time. If you have interest, we can send you our detailed introduction of our 3rd party ink cartridge.
Main benefitsof INKWIN 3rd partyMild Solvent Ink cartridge:
no insult intended. what i meant is that to switch out the chips in order to use different inks, appears to us to be an expensive and essentially pointless operation.
Hi Victor. I have one HP 9000 and now, two Seiko II 64 s. I'm very interested in your studies about inks for these machines. Can you tell me about? My email: victormsmartins@hotmail.com Thanks. Best regards
As far as I know, still now, no one perfect 3rd party chip for seiko/hp. Just some permanet solution did working. Do not try any not OEM chip, waste money,It is true.
Not sure if this pertains to the discussion, but this has been my experience. so for with the Seiko CP 64s (IP6600)
Example 1.
Triangle Ink has cartridges designated for the HP 9000, 1000, Seiko CP 64 and 100. This Cartridge will Not work in my Machine.
Triangle has Cartridges designated for the CP 64 and 104 only.
I also had 6 Un opened bottles of Triangle Ink that I filled into cartridges and got my chips from solventcartridges.com
The chips are not cheap but by gawd they work every time.
I have had a few cartriges from triangle that had the Seiko HP Chip in them and was a good thing to have some of the other chips on hand to keep the work flow going.
Also in all fairness I have had no futher failures from Triangle Chips at this point.
